Application details: A   complaint submitted on behalf of The Doglas Trust on November 22, 2023 regarding the alleged unlawful, commercial use of a neighboring property was submitted to the Town of Hurley Building Inspector/ZEO, Paul Economos. The property where the alleged unlawful activities of Hurley Mountain Farms, LLC located at 1756 Hurley Mtn. Road, Section Block and Lot #55.2-1-8. The alleged unlawful activities involve storage and processing of waste, piles of trees, mulch, stone and other debris, large trucks and shipping containers being parked and stored, noise and air pollution. On December 5, 2023, Building Inspector/ZEO of the Town of Hurley made a written determination regarding the complaint that stated the following: “Please be advised that the subject property was visited and inspected on November 21, 24, 28, 30 and again on December 1. No activity was observed on any of those inspections, and your complaint could not be substantiated by visual confirmation. The complaint is not deemed valid and the file is now closed.” An Appeal dated January 4, 2024 was submitted by The Doglas Trust,  owner of real property at 8 Dug Hill Rd (Section Block and Lot # 55.2-3-15.110) in the Town of Hurley, of the determination by Paul Economos, Building Inspector and Zoning Enforcement Officer (the “ZEO”).  The Appeal believes that the ZEO’s determination is incorrect and should be reversed. The Appeal alleges the activities occurring are not Agricultural in nature, which is the defined use of the property
