Ulster County SPCA is responsible for enforcing all state and local laws pertaining to dog behavior.

Dog Licenses
Licensing is handled at the Clerk's Office of the Town of Hurley, 10 Wamsley Place, Hurley NY 12443.
All dogs over 6 months old belonging to individuals residing in the Town of Hurley must be licensed. Please be aware dog licenses must be renewed annually and you will need a current rabies certificate at the time of renewal.
The fees are as follows
- Neutered male and spayed female - $8.00
- Unneutered male and unspayed female - $15.00
There are no fees for licensing guide dogs, war dogs, police dogs, work dogs, hearing dogs, or service dogs.
