NY State 'Hunting & Trapping' guide now available

The 2023-2024 “New York Hunting & Trapping” guide, issued by the State Department of Environmental Conservation, is now available to the public.

The guide, about 80 pages long, provides information about licensing, hunting areas, hunting for big and small game, turkey and migratory game bird hunting, and furbearer hunting and trapping. It also includes maps, safety tips regarding tree stands, information about using hunting dogs, and sunrise and sunset times, among other things.

The guide can be accessed online at tinyurl.com/25fj9nvf.

Hard copies of the guide (pictured), which is the size of a magazine, are available for free in the Town Hall, 10 Wamsley Place, and can be picked up during weekday business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). There’s a stack on the table in the main hallway, and another stack in the Town Clerk’s Office.
