Tracy Kellogg appointed Town Clerk

Tracy Kellogg was appointed Hurley Town Clerk during an emergency meeting of the Town Board on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.

The vote was 3-0. Town Supervisor Michael Boms and Town Board members Diana Cline and Gregory Simpson voted “yes.” Board member Debra Dougherty was absent.

Kellogg was sworn in by Town Justice John Parker immediately after the meeting (pictured).

Kellogg succeeds Annie Reed, who submitted her resignation as Town Clerk on Dec. 27, effective Jan. 1. Reed defeated Kellogg in the November 2023 election by a margin of 71 votes.

Kellogg is an attorney who served as Woodstock Supervisor and a member of the Woodstock Town Board in the 1990s.
