Onteora Superintendent promotes district's 2024-25 budget

Onteora Central School District Superintendent Victoria McLaren (pictured) gave a presentation during the April 18, 2024, Hurley Town Board meeting about the district’s proposed budget for the 2024-25 school year.

The proposed budget, totaling $62,325,500, will be voted on by Onteora residents from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the district’s three elementary schools.

Voters also will be asked to authorize the use of $1.95 million from the district’s Capital Reserve Fund for various building improvements, and they will elect two candidates to three-year terms on the Board of Education.  

Part of Hurley is in the Onteora School District, while the rest is in the Kingston School District.
