Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Plan will establish the community’s vision for the future of land use in the Town of Hurley. It answers the questions: Where are we now? Where are we going? Where do we want to be? And how do we get there? The plan then sets goals and prioritizes specific actions to implement land use recommendations following completion of the plan.

Per Town Law, the Comprehensive Plan should be reviewed and updated periodically. Now that it has been 15 years since the Town’s last Comprehensive Plan was prepared, and much has changed within the Town, a Comprehensive Plan Review Committee (CRC) has been appointed by the Town Board. The CRC, along with the Town’s planner and input from members of the community itself, will work together to update the existing 2006 Town Comprehensive Plan. The update process evaluates existing conditions of the Town in order to establish clear goals and implementation measures for the future success of the Town.

The Town Board has unanimously endorsed the Comprehensive Plan Update, and requests public participation!
